Amelia's cruising for a bruising, but at least her bucket list will be shorter!

She never expected winning a free cruise would start a cascade of events that completely alter the Moriarty Mafia’s future.

From making a splash at a gala, almost starting a mafia war, and unintentionally becoming a pirate, Amelia’s life has no chill.

She’s going to have to use all her charm and wits to clear her name, but an unexpected development causes her alpha males to go into berserker mode.

Will Amelia prove to be the Moriarty Mafia’s salvation or their downfall?

Chapter One Look Inside

“I won!” I yelled as I ran down the hallway towards the secret meeting room. My excitement caused me to enter the code wrong three times before getting it right, doing a fingerprint scan, and finally getting the four three-inch bolts to unlock with a loud “clunk.”
Tapping my foot, I waited impatiently as the hydraulic door slowly slid open enough for me to squeeze through before I raced inside and waved the golden paper in my hand.
Five pairs of eyes looked up from the papers they’d been reading to see what I was waving.
“I thought you’d won everything when you found us?” Dane asked with a smirk and rotated slightly in his chair, draping his arm over the back.
“Well, apparently the universe felt I needed more,” I said with a slight shrug, ignoring the fact that they’d heard me through the video surveillance and not just opened the door. I bet they enjoyed watching my growing frustration as I tried to punch in my code.
“What did you win?” Stephan asked with a soft smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. He’d been staying up late in his once almost every night the past two weeks. He’d also been yelling on the phone, which was something he never did.
“I won a cruise!” I shouted excitedly, waving the golden paper again.
All of their enthusiasm died.
“Let me guess, Carnlial?” Forrest asked with a frown.
With a glare, I said, “I thought you would be more excited and supportive. Why are you acting so disinterested?”
“You know we own a yacht, right?” Arcadio replied dryly. His statement made me look at him and as I focused on his face, I noticed the scar. Despite the scar being barely visible, I could see it and it always made me cringe. Not because it took away from his attractiveness, no, it had only added to that, but because it reminded me that he had been hurt trying to protect me.
“That’s not the same as a cruise ship,” I countered. “I’ve never been on one and it’s on my bucket list. I was hoping you’d all want to go with me, but if I have to go by myself, I will.”
“Bucket list? You have a bucket list?” Dane asked.
“Yeah. Doesn’t everyone?” I replied, my brows furrowing.
“What else is on your bucket list?” Stephan interjected.
“Why do you want to go on a cruise? They’re always super crowded, have only tolerable food, and are expensive.” Shea’s tone held no inflection, so it didn’t seem like he hated them, just that he was stating facts.
I plopped down into my chair on Stephan’s left, and dropped my head onto my arms atop the table. “This was not the excitement I’d hoped to share right now.”
Stephan stroked my hair. “We’re sorry. It’s been a rough couple of weeks. Do you want to come back in and start over? We’ll be very excited this time. Promise.”
“Wait, I just realized you suggested you would go on a cruise without us,” Arcadio said. “That’s totally not going to happen. Where you go, we go.”
“Now I’m sad,” I whispered. “You ruined my happy mood.”
